OUR VALUES IN ACTION Care and Compassion Quality and Teamwork Dignity and Respect Openness, honesty and responsibility Fixed term post until mid February 2025 We require an experienced, highly motivated and innovative Medical/Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team in NHS Borders. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as good organisation, time management, problem-solving and prioritisation skills. Previous medical/respiratory experience is essential. Working within multidisciplinary teams in the acute setting, you will be responsible for triage, prioritisation and management of a complex caseload. You will provide assessment and intervention to patients across a variety of settings, including ITU, MAU, acute medical wards and our paediatric ward as required. You will be part of the out of hours service that provides a service 7 days a week and an evening on-call service. The successful candidate will provide education and advice to patients, their families and other health care and multi agency professionals. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
