OUR VALUES IN ACTION Care and Compassion Quality and Teamwork Dignity and Respect Openness, honesty and responsibility Community Physiotherapy Please note: This is a fixed-term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team here in the Borders area with our ambition to deliver high quality care to our patients as part of the Community AHP Service. This post is based in the Berwickshire area with close transport links to Edinburgh and rest of the Borders. You will be working within the Home First team with a focus on community person centred care to promote our patients to live as independently as possible within their preferred environment. Primarily preventing admissions and the timely supported discharge back to home. As a clinician you will independently assess and treat routine and complex patients in the community setting with a variety of conditions, managing your own caseload and signposting to other services when required. Therefore, a clinical experience of orthopaedics, neurology, medicine of the elderly & frailty in community patient groups is essential. You will be supported in your own professional development, have the opportunity to pursue clinical interests whilst continuing to deliver a service across a broad base of practice. You will also benefit from working within a skilled and supportive team to promote yours and others professional development with a timely professional supervision and appraisal structure. For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your application is submitted early NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
