Every day the medical team thrives on exposure to a diverse range of patients that invites assessment, treatment & discharge planning in: cardiology, renal, general medical and elderly medicine. To deliver quality care to this patient group our permanent 37 hour Band 6 post holder within the Medical Team needs to be dynamic, friendly and an excellent communicator. Recent experience at band 6 level within a medical setting is essential, along with a broad range of knowledge in the management of common and complex medical disorders. Knowledge and expertise of complex discharge planning is also essential. An interest in treating and advising chronic pain patients is essential. MDT board rounds, supervision and appraisal of Physiotherapy staff, HCSWs and students will be responsibilities included within the role as will the opportunity to deputise for the team lead in their absence;. Engagement, participation and implementation of service improvement, in-service training, practice and personal development are all actively supported.
