Join our team at the Award-Winning Private Hospital, where you will play a pivotal role within the Orthopaedic department, contributing to the entire patient journey, from pre-assessment to follow-up clinics. Additionally, you will have the chance to make a difference in rehabilitation through hydrotherapy and share your knowledge through educational sessions for patients and fellow healthcare professionals. Physiotherapist Responsibilities: • Take professional and legal responsibility for all aspects of your work, including managing patients under your care, and support junior staff in maintaining high clinical standards. • Work independently, following clinical and professional guidelines, with supervision provided by peers, both internal and external to the organization. • Analyse clinical and non-clinical information to make accurate diagnoses and prognoses in complex conditions, recommend the best interventions, and refer patients to other professional agencies when necessary. • Create comprehensive patient transfer documentation for ongoing physiotherapy management with external agencies. • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including those with complex presentations, using investigative and analytical skills to develop individualized management and treatment plans. • Manage a designated caseload of patients efficiently and effectively, prioritizing clinical needs and time management. • Provide spontaneous and planned advice, teaching, and instruction to patients’ relatives, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent patient care and understanding of physiotherapy goals. • Offer specialist advice, teaching, and training to hospital staff on physiotherapy management of Muscular-Skeletal conditions. • Train, supervise, and performance-manage junior staff, including physiotherapy assistants. • Assess capacity, obtain valid informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent. • Actively participate in collecting appropriate data and statistics for the physiotherapy department. • Adhere to professional code of conduct. Physiotherapist Requirements: • Degree qualification in Physiotherapy or equivalent. • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC). • Ability to adapt rehabilitation programs based on assessment data in collaboration with support staff. • Capability to thrive under pressure and prioritize workloads, even in demanding situations. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner to diverse audiences. • Effective teamwork and collaboration abilities. • (Desirable) Completed a range of clinical placements/rotations in the NHS/Private sector. • (Desirable) Post-graduate experience in elective Orthopaedics.
