Fixed term 12 months Our Physiotherapy departments across NHS Fife are committed to developing the next generation of clinicians. Our NHS Fife Physiotherapy strategy 2022 – 2025 has 3 aims; inclusion, excellence and sustainability, accordingly we look to employ quick thinking, adaptable, clinically inspired Physiotherapists. Joining our Medical Physiotherapy team you will work across several wards, including renal, cardiology, general medicine and medicine of the elderly. A broad knowledge in the management of common and complex medical disorders and those associated with ageing are essential. Essential to the role is ward management which includes delegation of tasks, complex discharge planning and MDT communication. We host a number of students from our HEIs therefore practice educator experience would be desirable but should this not be a skill, you will be fully supported with the training. Please come and join our friendly department; further to the detail of the role above, you will receive in-service training, regular appraisal and PDP meetings, leadership development opportunities and both peer and management support. Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy is commutable from Lothian, Forth Valley, Dundee and Perth and car share amongst colleagues is often available. Applications on a secondment basis will be considered providing you have prior agreement from your current line manager. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment. Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours. For informal enquiries please contact Lindsay Paterson-Brown, Medical Team Lead on 01592 643355 ext 21109. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board. NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all its employees are legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom. If you are not a United Kingdom (UK) or Irish National, you are required to confirm your right to work in your application. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
