We are seeking an experienced pelvic health physiotherapist with a specialist interest, or a willingness to develop a specialist interest, in colorectal health and dysfunction. Together with the team lead you will be responsible for overseeing and influencing the clinical delivery of the pelvic health physiotherapy team and ensuring clinical practice is effective and evidence based. Independently, you will be expected to manage a highly complex caseload of pelvic health physiotherapy referrals including adult male, female and paediatric patients. You must have highly specialist knowledge in the management of common and complex pelvic health presentations, surgeries and pathways related to urogynaecology, colorectal, obstetrics and chronic pain. We welcome a desire to develop an advanced practice role in the support of weekly colorectal clinics such that evidence of relevant postgraduate clinical and non-clinical training is essential and whilst non-medical prescribing is not, an interest in this would be supported. The post remit includes staff supervision, clinical management, peer review and appraisal. Possessing excellent teaching and communication skills together with experience of service development, you will lead and participate in clinical audit, in-service training, service improvement and undergraduate placement education. Our friendly department offers robust peer group and management support, regular PDP meetings, in-service training and close links with our medical colleagues. For informal enquiries, please contact Kimberley Sinclair, Team Lead Pelvic Health Physiotherapist ext 29712 A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
